Duplin County Criminal Records

Criminal records document an individual's arrests, convictions, incarcerations, traffic violations, etc. They are created throughout the history of an individual's dealings with law enforcement. These records mostly comprise arrest and police records detailing events from moments of arrest, booking, mugshots, through to, incarceration and parole information if any. North Carolina is a closed record state and records of criminal history are not readily available to individuals and licensing authorities without consent from the subject(s) of the required record or without “statutory authority”. The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) is in charge of collecting and maintaining all criminal records for the state as a whole and the requests for these records are handled by the Clerk of the Superior court (North Carolina Judicial Branch) for a fee. The office handles background and criminal checks for the state.
